Vivitar's ViviCam 5150s
We don't hear much from Vivitar all that often, but it looks like they have at least one
new camera to show at PMA this year, the ViviCam 5150s. It's got a 5 megapixel sensor (but no optical zoom), 16MB of
internal memory, and a 2-inch display. We don't want to spoil anyone's fun or anything, but don't mind us if we just
ignore this thing entirely in the future. Ok, thanks.

Oh that's really sad. I feel bad for Vitivar, are they going under or something? A 2 inch display? I dealt with it on my Canon 20D but on a point and shoot? And no optical zoom? that's bad. Wow. That camera better be $150 or less.

Is that black thing some fake leather or cheap plastic? The design looks horrible!

Hm, I wonder if this is the same noisy, crappy 5 MP chip that has plagued us for lo these last few years.
5 MP cameras suck. Learn it. Know it. Live it.

Vivitar has always been bad , remember when had got a regular film based one some years ago -- did not last too long. But guess it sells in some places coz of the cost advantage .

Only thing on disk is Photo Express 4. Don't know if it's available from Download.com. It's a bit large for an e-mail attachment. I have manual in PDG @ 2.4Mb which might.
